Discourse in Metaplace

I must say that when I was wandering around Metaplace last night, I was reminded of Second Life - it was so deserted!  In these types of worlds, you certainly need some insider knowledge and social connections to feel like you're in an inhabited space.

Metaplace part3

I was lured back into Metaplace by the invitation to "create a New You"!  More body shopping - this seems to be common "cultural" practice across virtual worlds. Sadly, though, it seems like everything affordable is gray!  Once again I am in danger of being identified as a noob.

Someone did teach me how to "meep" another person.  It is a way to earn gold and I guess to promote socialization...

Metaplace part 2

I did some exploring this weekend, though I am having trouble figuring out how to find things in this space (is there a master map?).  I took some screenshots of interesting places.

Ephemeral, in one of the screen shots below, features a movie made in Second Life, that you watch by clicking on a TV set within Metaplace. Talk about layers of virtuality!
